1. Agreement to Terms

By scheduling or purchasing an inspection from DFW Home Inspector (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“client,” “you”) agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

2. Scope of Inspection

  • All inspections are performed in accordance with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Standards of Practice for home inspectors.

  • Inspections are limited visual evaluations of the property’s condition on the date of inspection. We do not predict future conditions or guarantee that hidden defects will be found.

  • We do not perform destructive testing, move personal property, or dismantle systems.

3. Report Delivery

  • The inspection report will be provided electronically, typically within 24 hours of the inspection.

  • The report is for the sole use of the client and is not transferable without written permission.

4. Limitations and Exclusions

Our inspections do not cover:

  • Code compliance or municipal ordinances

  • Environmental hazards (mold, asbestos, radon, lead paint, etc.) unless separately contracted

  • Specialized systems such as alarm systems, sprinkler systems, solar equipment, or private wells/septic systems unless included in your inspection package

5. Fees and Payment

  • Inspection fees are due in full at or before the time of inspection.

  • Fees are non-refundable once the inspection has been performed.

6. Liability

  • Our liability for errors or omissions is limited to the amount paid for the inspection.

  • We are not responsible for consequential damages, loss of use, or repair costs beyond the inspection fee.

7. Rescheduling and Cancellations

  • You may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

8. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure that utilities are turned on and all areas of the property are accessible at the time of inspection.

  • Provide written permission from the property owner if you are not the owner.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any disputes will be resolved in a Texas court with proper jurisdiction.
